Paloma Lopez

Paloma is a former Global Marketing and Sustainability Director for Kellogg. She has spent the last 15 years building healthy and sustainable food systems, growing purpose-led brands, and driving sustainability initiatives for brands like Kellogg, Special K, Kashi, and MorningStar Farms. Paloma spearheaded the launch of a sustainable agriculture program to benefit 300k farmers across the world and has been recognized as a Global Sustainability Woman Leader by Forbes.

Sean Ansett

Sean has been the co-founder and advisor or board chair of numerous start-ups over the last six years. He was a co-founding team member and CSO of Fairphone, the world's first sustainable and modular smartphone generating $45 million in revenue annually. He formally held executive sustainability positions at Gap Inc. and Burberry. He is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer. 

Nathan Lohrmann

Nathan Lohrmann

A member of the University of Michigan's Erb Institute and leader of Michigan's Social Venture Fund, Nathan is on a mission to fight climate change by scaling innovations in non-animal foods and food waste mitigation. Prior to Michigan, Nathan built his food system knowledge and network through roles in management consulting, corporate strategy, futuring and insights, and ecosystem development. Through his career, Nathan has collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders, from startups and major NGOs to Fortune 50s and US federal agencies.

Kelsie Imus

Kelsie Imus (she/her/hers) is a University of Michigan Class of 2022 Undergraduate majoring in Organizational Studies and Environmental Science while minoring in Business and Spanish. Kelsie is passionate about sustainable business strategy, circular and regenerative practices, accessibility within the sustainability space, cultural and organizational impacts on sustainability, and environmental policy. Serving as a current Co-President for the Erb Institute Fellows Program, Vice President of Projects for Propel Business Club, and Co-Founder of a Professional Sustainability Fraternity Theta Alpha Psi.



Vineet Bewtra

Bewtra works privately with a small number of organizations, including as a Senior Advisor to the Global Innovation Fund and as an independent Board member of UBS Optimus Foundation UK.

Vineet has 27 years of experience across a range of industries. As an investment banker, he specialized in illiquid fixed income principal investing for a number of US & European investment banks.  After banking, he specialized in global development, philanthropy and venture impact investing, most recently at Omidyar Network (the private vehicle of the founder of eBay) where he led a number of innovative transactions and early-stage investments.  

Vineet has a First-Class Honors from Cambridge University, and a Masters with Distinction from the London School of Economics.  He is a keen scuba diver, an amateur astrophotographer, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

John Elkington

John Elkington, Founder & Chief Pollinator at Volans, is one of the founders of the global sustainability movement, an experienced advisor to business, and a highly regarded keynote speaker and contributor, from conferences to advisory boards.

In 2008, The Evening Standard named John among the ‘1000 Most Influential People’ in London, describing him as “a true green business guru”, and as “an evangelist for corporate social and environmental responsibility long before it was fashionable”. In 2009, a CSR International survey of the Top 100 CSR leaders placed John fourth: after Al Gore, Barack Obama and the late Anita Roddick of the Body Shop, and alongside Muhammad Yunus of the Grameen Bank.

John has addressed over 1,000 conferences around the world. He was a faculty member of the World Economic Forum from 2002-2008. He has served on over 70 boards and advisory boards. John has won numerous awards and is the author or co-author of 20 books. His 20th book was published in April: Green Swans: The Coming Boom in Regenerative Capitalism (Fast Company Press)

Sharon Chang

Sharon Chang is a Future Architect, an expert generalist armed with a unique collection of building blocks to construct positive change in the world. Her work focuses on reframing the relationship between capital, creativity and impact through masterfully calibrated collaborations. A philanthropist, entrepreneur and investor in transformational ideas and technologies, Sharon is also trained as an artist, designer and architect. She uses the combination of these talents, experiences and resources to imagine and build a more beautiful future.

Early in her career, Sharon developed her creative and business expertise at the nexus of Madison Avenue, Hollywood and Silicon Valley as an award-winning strategic mastermind. After nearly two decades exploring the most consequential intersections of these culture-making forces, she began to pioneer a powerful discipline – future architecture – that designs, translates and manifests the intangible to shape complex cross-sector collaboration. 

Her wide-ranging endeavors challenge and rebuild the systems that govern our everyday activities. From a film that inspires gender equality to a fashion brand that drives conscious consumption; a smart city operating system to a fair-trade apparel factory in West Africa, all her projects confront the status quo and help to make the world more beautiful for more people.

Olga Garcia

Olga P. Garcia, PhD

Dr. Olga P. García, was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, where she studied Food Chemistry at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Olga continued her education studying her Master Degree in Nutrition and a PhD in International Nutrition, both from the University of California, Davis, in the United States. 

Olga was the former Latin America Nutrition Manager for Kellogg Co.  and has been a consultant for the food industry for the last 16 years. She is currently a full time Professor and Senior Scientist at the School of Natural Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, in Querétaro, Mexico. 

Olga’s main research areas are bioavailability of micronutrients, the impact of micronutrient deficiencies on health, food security and microbiota.

Adrian Jarvis

Adrian Jarvis

Adrian Jarvis is a specilist in strategy for consumer goods and retail, based in London, UK.  His key focus is how to use design to grow brands; connecting the value of innovation to the challenges of a rapidly changing culture.

After choosing to become vegan in 2009, Adrian’s experience in food and beverage has focused on plant-based brands and innovation. Over the last decade developing connected platforms and architectures, he has become an expert in the role of brands to encourage more sustainable living.

With over 25 years of experience, Adrian has worked with major companies such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Kellogg. Nike and IKEA, as well as a range of fast-moving start-ups. Most recently Adrian spent 5 years as a brand strategist at R/GA before becoming head of strategy at Jones Knowles Ritchie.

Katherine Johnson

Katherine Johnson, J.D.

Katherine Johnson is a lawyer, writer, social activist, and  entrepreneur.  She serves as CLO and heads Compliance and HR at Storj Labs Inc., which is tackling data privacy and security with decentralized data storageKatherine Johnson, J. powered by the STORJ digital token.  Katherine’s work in blockchain and cryptocurrency started at Coinbase, where she led compliance management and regulation through hyper-growth and started the company’s first People of Color Employee Resource Group.  

She has advised the world’s largest banks on AML and compliance.  Highlights of her legal career include prosecuting and defending discrimination actions, representing Fortune 100 and small businesses in intellectual property actions, clerking for Judge Swain in the SDNY, serving on the NYC Bar ethics committee, and working in financial crimes compliance at BNYM through the financial crisis.  Her work emphasizes diversity, inclusion, equity, and community.  

As co-owner of the popular Black-owned ice cream shop and wholesaler, Brooklyn Bell, she and her husband brought locally-sourced foods and served as a uniting force to Crown Heights at the height of gentrification.  She has written on heritage gardening, social and environmental issues at revelgardener.com and life as a bi-racial mother of multi-generational kids as revelmama.

Chid Liberty

Chid Liberty co-founded Liberty & Justice, Africa’s first Fair Trade Certified™ apparel manufacturer, after working in entertainment, technology, and finance. He was born in Liberia, West Africa. 

He speaks internationally on social entrepreneurship and impact investing – recently at Harvard, Stanford, and Princeton Universities, as well as the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia and IE in Madrid, Spain. Chid was recognized by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in her 2011 State of the Nation Address for his leadership in shaping trade policy and indigenous Liberian entrepreneurship. 

He is a recipient of the 2014 Salzburg Global Fellowship, 2014 Global Innovation Summit Ecosystem Award, 2013 New African Press 50 African Trailblazers under 50, 2011 SVN Social Innovation Award, 2010 Cordes Fellowship, a Yoxi Portfolio SIR (Social Innovation Rockstar) and works as an advisor and board member to a number of high-impact organizations including GIIRS (the Global Impact Investment Rating System), The Liberia Marathon, FACE Africa, and the Opportunity Collaboration.

William McDonough

William McDonough

William McDonough is a globally recognized leader in sustainable design and development. He has written and lectured extensively on design as the first signal of human intention. He co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things (2002), widely recognized as a seminal text of both the sustainability and the circular economy design movements.

He advises global leaders through McDonough Innovation, is an architect with William McDonough + Partners and provides counsel through MBDC, the creators of the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Products Program. He is active with the World Economic Forum, served as the inaugural chair of their Meta-Council on the Circular Economy, and now on their Global Future Council on Biodiversity and the Bio-economy.

McDonough co-founded the Sustainable Packaging Coalition in 2009 and works with companies, such as Unilever and Walmart, on reusable, recyclable, compostable, and recoverable packaging. In 2016, with the C&A Foundation, he co-founded and launched Fashion for Good, a joint-apparel initiative based in Amsterdam, which articulates and supports McDonough’s Five Goods based on Cradle to Cradle Design™.

McDonough received the Presidential Award for Sustainable Development (1996), the first U.S. EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2003), the National Design Award (2004), and the Fortune Award for Circular Economy Leadership (2017). Time magazine recognized him as a “Hero for the Planet,” noting: “His utopianism is grounded in a unified philosophy that—in demonstrable and practical ways—is changing the design of the world," and in 2019 Fortune magazine named him one of the World's 50 Greatest Leaders.

Tina Owens

Tina Owens

Tina Owens is the Senior Director of Food & Agriculture Impact for Danone North America, where she leads the charge to accelerate the ROI for farmers converting to regenerative agriculture by building programs which put farmer economic resilience at their center. This work incentivizes the conversion to regenerative agriculture practices, sequestration of carbon, addition of biodiversity, and more while creating a more stable supply chain, and financial and climate resilience. 

Prior to Danone, Tina spent 17 years at Kellogg Company, with a decade dedicated to the natural and organic brands Kashi and Bear Naked. Tina helped bring to life an industry-facing effort with QAI called the Certified Transitional protocol, which empowers consumers to incentivize farmer conversion to organic practices through their purchases. Tina’s experience spans R&D, Contract Manufacturing, Public Affairs, Brand Sustainability Operations, bespoke Supply Chains, Sustainability and Multi-Stakeholder Engagement. 

Tina is passionate about the intersection between soil health, human health, and nutrient density and has dedicated her career to unfolding awareness of this topic since 2016.  She resides with her family on 20 acres in Michigan, where they are transitioning previously farmed land to a food forest under the principles of permaculture.

KoAnn Vikoren

KoAnn is Founder and Chief Executive of Sustainable Life Media, producers and conveners of the international Sustainable Brands® community. Sustainable Brands® is the leading global learning, collaboration and commerce community of innovators focused on advancing the role of brand in shaping a flourishing future. 

Prior to launching Sustainable Life Media in 2004, KoAnn founded and led a boutique management consultancy called Organizations That Work, focusing on helping enable breakthrough financial performance through purpose-driven leadership and improved organizational alignment.  

KoAnn also worked for 18 years in business-to-business media where she launched and led media properties including magazines, conferences, and trade shows across sectors. During her time in media, KoAnn garnered extensive experience in launching and growing countless product brands, completing her media tenure as Senior Vice President of a multinational division of United Business Media, overseeing a $50 million division with 150-person team. 

KoAnn serves on the external sustainability advisory council for P&G and Target, and has served as faculty for Harvard's Leadership for Sustainability Exec Ed program.

Maja Tillmann

Maja Tillmann Salas is a community filmmaker and agroecologist working with indigenous communities on food sovereignty, climate change, biodiversity, and cultural affirmation. 

Maja is an expert in participatory video processes and has spent nearly two decades across the Americas and Asia building communication bridges between traditional and indigenous knowledge to find pathways to a sustainable future. 

As a film producer and head of the Peruvian Association “Cuyay Wasi”, Maja has carried out the preservation of audiovisual materials of indigenous communities, containing wisdoms and traditional knowledge of 8 of the 24 regions of Peru. Maja has made over 100 short documentaries and participatory videos based on traditional knowledge and Andean Cosmo-vision.

Chef Soren Westh

Chef Søren Westh

Culinary innovator, former Chef Nordic Food Lab, NOMA and El Bulli.  

Known as one of the creators of modern Nordic cuisine, Søren is celebrated for his approach to elevating the wild, the foraged, the forgotten and even the ugly foods to the center of the plate. 

For many years, Søren Westh has had a leading role at the Michelin Star restaurant, and former voted best restaurant in the world - Noma, at the same time he worked at non-profit Nordic Food Lab, has started and sold several restaurants, worked at famous Michelin restaurants El Bulli and Per Se before transforming the hospital and eldercare food culture in Denmark- no small feat.  

Now he is on a mission to change people’s food habits on a much larger scale, because it is needed. To do that he and his co-founders are sharing experiences, wisdom and crazy ideas on how to change our behavior through a new and extraordinary cuisine. It’s about food. It’s about life. It’s in favor of life.
